Holman One Newsletter #2

Speed Training Works, Contest Winners, Mobility Routine

Speed Training Works

Sometimes it works too well and you wind up breaking a shaft while reaching a new ball speed PR. Last week I hit 194.8mph, another step closer to my 200mph goal. If I can keep gaining speed, I know you can too.

The weather is much nicer now, making it the perfect time to focus on getting faster. Start your swing speed journey with my Speed Check, which includes a Mach3 Jetstick, a short physical assessment, an intro to speed training, and instant gains.

Slogan Contest Winners

In last month’s newsletter, I invited readers to submit their best ideas for a Holman One slogan. I am excited to announce multiple winners! Some readers were so enthused that they went rogue, forgetting the slogan contest and instead submitted new names for the Holman One newsletter.

Congratulations to Doug Alexander on his winning slogan submission:

 “Let’s Make 2024 a Smashing Success”

Doug will receive a free Holman One workout class, a sleeve of Holman One golf balls, and a deck of Holman One playing cards.

Allen Pine (rogue reader) will receive a free workout class for his original and unsolicited newsletter names.

Rodney Bustamonte and Bharat Chopra will also receive a free workout class for their runner up slogan submissions.

Thanks to all those who participated! Stay tuned for the next contest in March.

Find a mobility routine that works for you!

The hardest part of mobility work is finding a routine that you can stick with. Same is true with swing speed training or any fitness regiment. I’ve been able to stick with three moves that are featured in the video below. Figure 4’s for hip tightness, rock backs for better movement patterns, and thoracic turns for mobility of the back. I do them every day, often 2-3 times a day. It doesn’t take much time, space, or equipment!

“Everyone wants to swing faster, but no one wants to practice swinging faster.”
